Office Jargon and Jeremyisms !
Some fun (?) office jargons that are already there and some I have coined : Wait-chat: A person unusually stops by your desk and chats with you, only for you to realize that he is waiting for the busy person next to you to become available. Self-racism: Indians following the instructions of western bosses more meticulously than Indian bosses. (This is not always self-racist. They know where the power lies !) Office-spouse: Self-explanatory. I did not coin this. I had a UK-boss Jeremy who had a very good sense of humour and used to make very funny comments in the course of day-to-day work. Some of them below : Anurag : I am planning to take a training session on how to write a Test Strategy . Jeremy : Do you know how to write a Test Strategy? ... Anurag: Rajesh is not on his desk. Jeremy : OK, Can you check under his desk ? ... Sundaram : Can I have a KT of this project ? Jeremy: Yes, But after that we have to shoot you since this is under Non-Disclosure. ....
