Job Crisis situation

Had a kind of OK week after a stressful weekend. I think my mind over-reacted. And from being jobless of late I have become very busy which is in one way a good thing, but it is more of a drudgery. How quickly things can change from being jobless to having a lot of work. And more work seems to be in the pipeline. Guess, I am good for now!

I want people to read and not read my blog at the same time

Yes, you read that right. I want people to read and not read my blog at the same time... That is, if I really want people to read it, I would have written on facebook. But my motivator blogger (noenthuda.com) and other bloggers blog on blog sites, which means that there is a specific mindset required for a blog audience and we can't post on facebook. Think it's more like the people have to come to the site and read the blog and your content should not go forcibly into their timelines.

My learnings checklist

Over my failures and learnings in life, I have made some kind of checklist which I go over once in a while so that I don't forget them. And I keep adding to it when I get a new experience or learning. It has got a bit long over time. There is a story or incident behind each of them that is in the list, but then the blog will become too long. So, just giving the points below. Bigger Objective. Especially in a job, keep in mind the bigger objective. This helps overlook and overcome the problems. Positive: Think positive. Relationships. Be Expressive rather than suppressing your feelings. Align with the bosses (Of course)! Do, Do, Do. Diplomatic. Think Long-term. Elluna ennaiya iru. ( Sorry , that was a Tamil proverb. Do things requested faster and readily). Speed of Implementation. Don't tell out everything. Don't laugh or smile unnecessarily and be serious, esp. in front of subordinates. But sometimes, smilingly tell hard facts. Time, Time, Time. Do things earlier. Job Crisis !

A few weeks back I had posted on being jobless in office. Now this is reaching a crisis level. Work quantity is low, and the nature of work is hectic with a 2-week sprint and every other week there is a review, planning, think of new stories etc. And have to do all the roles such as manager, BA, support for the product. Though the work itself is manageable, the frequency of iterations and repetitiveness makes it a pain since there is too much repetitive and clerical and support work, which makes me feel stressed. Think this is the first major crisis in this new company. Took off today. Everyone has discomfort and stress in their work, and it depends on how manageable it is. I feel one of the things that help manage the crisis is your overall objective in the job such as good pay or growth and work-life balance. In the absence of any of this, difficult to manage the problem. But most people are resigned to the fact that job / life is like that but I am not one of them !

Experiences with Maharashtra Govt. offices

It has been ten years since I moved to Pune and have had a few experiences with Maharashtra government offices. First, it started with trying to get my car registration changed from AP to MH. After multiple straightforward attempts, I gave up that it was not possible and spoke to an agent and agree to pay Rs. 5,000 for it and gave around 3,000 as advance. Almost a month went by, and the progress was very slow. I had gone to the RTO with my son and unnecessarily spoke to him in a rude way. His friends gathered around the scene, but he was nice enough to ask them to move away. He retorted, "Do you know how much work it is, I have to get a lot of receipts etc." And he also said, "That's it, I will just get you to the point where you can pay the State Road Tax and will not help with the MH registration." That was 10 years back and I am on AP registration still. (But I could get away with numerous police stoppages till today by showing the docs and the tax receipt). ...
