Am back ! Trip to Bengaluru

Hi Readers(?)!

Had to take a forced sabbatical from this blog and most other activities in my life except for the essentials due to the 12th standard year for my son, since I have been spending time coaching and teaching and all that ...!

A minor thing to write about is the week long trip we had to Bengaluru last week. Our company made some directives about Working from Offic e, and so did a trip to Bengaluru for work. Though there is one last exam left for the son in the CBSE Boards, surprisingly my family agreed to join me which I thought was something that would not happen but somehow it did happen, and we all went to Bengaluru last week.

My part of the trip was just work and work-related pressure, working in the hotel and again in the office. Family, apart from getting bored in the Hotel, went to Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore from there and had a peaceful time there for 2 days. And also made a visit to the ISKCON temple. They did go to Shaitaan movie also ( Madhavan in the cast) but came running out due to the horror!

Met a couple of friends in their homes for food, and also met my school Hindi teacher after decades! And she gave the wife a lot of goodies.

Went and came back by Akasa Air, and the interiors were rich and impressive as compared to Indigo. And there was no delay or changes whatsoever in any of the departures.

My new way to start sleeping. Think of God !

I think it's a very common problem for people that they do not fall asleep after going to bed even if they were dozing off in their previous activity before going to bed. There are many techniques people follow to fall asleep in bed such as counting numbers or try to stop thinking. I earlier used to listen to the audios of Kapil Gupta MD whose calm tone and delivery makes one feel serene and fall asleep. Before that, I used to follow a technique followed by the US Military which involve sitting up and  twitching the muscles of our face and relaxing repeatedly to make your face muscles tired and then take some deep breaths and think of some peaceful situation like you are in a very scenic place lying on a hammock or if you are unable to visualize just keep saying to yourself "Dont Think... Life lessons from Ad Taglines

 Ad taglines give a lot of life lessons. There was one which made a big change in my way of thinking. It was not exactly a tagline, but in an ad a person says, " I think ..." and before he completes the other person says, 'Thinking... It is such a waste of time". It opened a new perspective for me to hear someone say thinking is a waste of time. Being an over thinker, it really changed my perspective. Some other Ad tag lines that made an impact on me... Just Do It. It's your life. Make it large. Let other men do other things. Not a life lesson, but a caption I liked . More car per car !
